A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® Practitioner offers expert financial guidance, tailored plans, and objective advice to help clients achieve their goals. They cover holistic planning, investments, taxes, insurance, and more. With a fiduciary duty, they prioritize clients' best interests, ensuring informed decisions and adapting plans over time.

CFP® Practitioners must meet education, examination, experience, ethics, and continuing education requirements set by the CFP Board. The CFP Board's Code of Ethics and Standards of Conduct requires all CFP® professionals to act as fiduciaries when providing financial planning services, always acting in the clients' best interests and avoiding conflicts of interest that could compromise the advice given.

A CFP® Practitioner who is also a CPA offers comprehensive financial expertise with a focus on tax efficiency. They provide holistic planning, especially for complex situations including estate planning. The combined knowledge enables coordination, risk management, and ongoing monitoring, saving time and building trust.

Depending on individual needs:
  • Cash Management Planning – a spending plan, projections of future income needs, planning for life transitions, an appropriate emergency fund, and debt management strategies.
  • Investment Review – evaluating risk tolerance and investment options against your goals, values and time horizon, testing asset allocation against historical market conditions, and evaluating costs, tax efficiency and income potential.
  • Retirement Planning – calculating retirement needs for your desired age and lifestyle, analyzing income sources, and creating a distribution strategy that considers tax and penalties on withdrawals.
  • Risk Management Planning – analyzing the need for healthcare, auto, homeowners’, life, disability, umbrella or other liability insurance.
  • Estate Planning – working with your attorney to make sure the necessary documents are in place.
  • Tax Planning – tax-efficient strategies, including monitoring capital gains and losses, charitable and retirement contributions, optimizing social security and retirement plan distributions, and managing tax efficiency within investment accounts.

  • Discovery Meeting – a complimentary exploratory meeting to build trust, understand your concerns and aspirations, and determine if there is a good fit.
  • Client Meeting 1 (more as necessary) – defining your starting point, understanding beliefs and behaviors affecting your finances, clarifying values and priorities, and setting meaningful goals.
  • Client Meeting 2 (more as necessary) – summarizing your values, goals and concerns, presenting a draft of the plan aligned with your life vision, and discussing implementation and monitoring.
  • Ongoing Planning Meetings – held based on time of year and as your financial life changes, with regular reviews of your True Wealth plan.

We offer remote meetings through Google Meet in a secure space with screen sharing. We also use a financial planning software called eMoney Advisor that gives clients a comprehensive financial view, goal tracking, scenario planning, budgeting, retirement planning, investment analysis, secure document storage and strong data security.

We offer convenient, flat-fee pricing based on the intricacy of the work and the time and resources it takes. Your fee is clearly outlined in our Financial Planning Agreement, with a portion due at signing and the remainder on a monthly, quarterly, or other agreed-upon billing arrangement. We use a secure billing platform called AdvicePay that allows you to pay via ACH or credit card.

You may transition to an ongoing planning client, receiving proactive planning, assistance with communication, access to resources, monitoring and keeping you informed, and continued tax planning. Ongoing clients are billed through AdvicePay monthly, quarterly, semi-annually or annually, and can cancel any time.
